Concerned Dentists of Texas Inaugural Seminar - Sept. 15, 2017
Concerned Dentists of Texas held its inaugural all-day seminar at the OmniPlex Convention Center in Dallas, on September 15, 2017, “The Business of Dentistry 101”. Attendees included doctors from Texas, as well as a variety of dentists in leadership positions nationally. One important component of attendees was the presence of Texas state government regulators.
The audience was sized such that there was a free flow of participation between presenters and attendees. Questions and answers, as well as open discussions on a variety of critical issues facing the dental profession and public extended from the meeting room, out into the hall, and into a variety of dining venues. The diverse backgrounds of presenters and attendees included private practice dentistry, public advocacy, academia, law, forensic accounting, economics, business, etc.
Real problems were presented and genuine solutions offered. This was anything but, a candy-coated politically correct event. No one pranced around on egg shells.
"It is our goal to educate dentists, legislators, and the public regarding the issues facing our profession. We hope this will be the first of many. Thank you to our sponsors including Allstate, Wells Fargo, Watson Brown, Benco, Dr. Renee Scott, Dr. Shab Krish at TMJ & Sleep Therapy Centre of North Texas and to Dallas County Dental Society for a great venue!" - CDOT
